PASCO COUNTY IS NATURAL LIVING
Pasco County is part of a 9-county region known as the “Nature Coast” that stretches from Wakulla County down the west coast of the peninsula ending at Pasco County.
Natural Living is a way of life in Pasco County where you are removed from the crowds of tourists that come to Florida every year, but it is a short drive to to the attractions in Orlando, Tampa International Airport or the business districts in Tampa.
Pasco County covers about 750 square miles with 320 square miles of water and boasts more than 100 miles of managed outdoor recreational facilities. There are miles of canoe trails, four artificial reefs for diving and scuba, more than 25 golf courses. There is sailing, power boating, fishing, hunting and the temperate climate allow this fun to go on pretty much year around.
Natural Living does not mean there is an issue with getting things done. Pasco is ripe with shopping, dining options, entertainment venues along the I75/ Hwy 54 corridor. Getting around the county has been made easier with the recent widening of several county roads connecting with I75 and US41. Pasco County Public Transportation provides bus service throughout the county. There are dozens of schools both public and private, primary, secondary and post secondary, spread across the county.
Pasco county has seen explosive growth over recent years with both residential and business construction going up all over the area. New home construction starts in the $200,000 range and gets well into the seven figures. Existing home prices are in the same basic range depending on where you want to live. There is waterfront, golf course communities, homes with acreage, and if your idea of “Natural Living” is natural, there are several clothing optional communities.
